Dolly DeLong Photography: An Intimate Family Farm Wedding featuring Jessica + Kevin in Bell Buckle, TN

This past August I had the opportunity of getting to 2nd shoot for Ivory Door Studio in Bell Buckle, TN. Let me be perfectly honest, this wedding was HARD for me because of the intense heat (and heat + pregnancy = uncomfortable and unbearable). Nonetheless, it was a great learning opportunity for me to be educated on how to best take portraits in the heat of the day, with the sun blaring down on the bridal party + ceremony, and the sun blaring in pretty much every photo…but I still had fun learning. Thankfully I had packed A LOT of water for myself and was wearing my go-to Nike’s, but as I said, this wedding was a great learning opportunity for me to expand my portfolio and learn how to work in extreme heat! (Plus, this is basic Tennessee Summer weather, so this is normal in August!)  Again, I had a great time despite the heat, and I really enjoyed the fact that Jessica + Kevin had a very intimate wedding party and had maybe up to 40 guests total at their wedding (PLUS BONUS: they had a bouncy house for all the kids during the reception-how cool is that?
