(just a few of my favorite photos from The Farmer family’s photo session with me from December of 2020. Plus, I wanted to share with you all that 2020 ended on a great note because I got to meet baby Karley!)
Karley came early, 37 (weeks) +9 (days)
Induced due to high BP, Cytotec overnight, in the morning the Doctor broke my water (surprise! I had excessive water and the Dr. and nurse were so shocked) and started Pitocin. Contractions got SUPER intense so I asked for an epidural so I could rest some. The nurse checked and was only 6cm so we started the epidural process. I was in a ton of pain while getting the epidural and by the time it was placed like 30 mins later the nurse checked me again and I was already at 10cm! Yikes! Waited another 30 mins hoping the epidural would kick in but it never did, they even tried fentanyl and it didn’t work… yikes! I didn’t realize we were only waiting for the epidural to take and I could have been pushing the whole time so as soon as the nurse asked if I wanted to try to push I said YES! About 30 mins of pushing and Karley was here!
So relieved!!! And excited for no more contractions! And a little freaked out by how fast everything happened.
We like name meanings…
Karley means “strength”, Lousie means “famous warrior”
Josh’s dads’ middle name is Louis
Thought it went well with Kinley both by how it sounds and name meaning. Kinley (older sister) means “fair-skinned warrior”
Josh (Dad)
Kaitlin (Mom)
I pray she grows up to be exactly who God created her to be and that she has full confidence in that.
A lot more diapers, a lot more love!
I loveeee seeing you interact with kids, you are so good with them!! (Awwwwww thank you, sweet Kaitlin!!!!)
Welcome to the world baby Karley! It was so good to finally get to meet you and to take your photos-you are precious just like your sister and you are loved so much! 2020 wasn’t all that bad because you came and expanded more love in your house!
