I recently hosted Lavender field mini sessions at Menkveld Farms and I’m so excited to be sharing these beautiful portraits with you today! I’ve had my eye on lavender field mini sessions for a while… I think they’re just so pretty, especially in the summer! And when families began to sign up for my spots, I got even more excited. Things were coming together! I couldn’t wait to meet the individual families for their sessions with me. Menkveld Farms is such a lovely place for portraits – I’m still so thankful they let me host these summer sessions on their property. I know our families loved it, too!
Mini sessions are a great way to update your family portraits, no matter the time of year. They’re quick and to the point, which is always a great idea with younger kids. Instead of stretching out a full session and trying to keep their attention, we can capture some sweet moments quickly. The three families that came to the lavender field mini sessions this year were so much fun! All three families had younger babies, but we had a really fun time on the edge of the field updating their family photos, snuggling, and laughing together.
Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE my job!?
Knowing that these special moments will be preserved for years to come is so meaningful to me. The fields provided some beautiful green and purple blossoms in the background and it was just a perfect afternoon.
To the Peel, Bone, and Roberts families, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your memories. I hope to see you all again soon!
