I am finally getting around to blogging about the Pence family’s session with me from last Fall! I never want to ruin family Christmas cards just in case, so I wait until February and March to blog about most of my family sessions from the previous Fall (you will notice that trend with me)!
So funny story about this session, I actually FORGOT my SD camera cards and when I arrived at this family’s session I was so embarrassed when I made the realization upon getting my camera gear ready (I know, so professional- #fail) Thankfully this family is so full of grace and kindness and they agreed to drive over to my house (which is where this gorgeous field is) and I made the boys some hot cocoa, gave them some of Blaise’s Halloween candy as a bribe (also because Blaise cannot eat the candy yet) and we took some amazing pictures at a different location. I really loved the way these pictures turned out because the boy’s personalities came out and I loved their playful pictures too (which are always my favorite types of kid photos!)
Anyway, thank you so much Pence family for being so flexible and wonderful to work with! I now triple check for my SD cards because of this session! Haha!
Here are a few of my favorites from this family photography session in Nashville: Enjoy!
If you are planning out your next family photography session, don’t be afraid to let your kids be kids. They are in this season of life for a very fleeting amount of time, so let their personalities shine in your family portraits! And if you have multiple kids, don’t forget to allow them to play with each other in the family pictures! It makes for great memories in the years to come, ESP in the years when they don’t want to have anything to do with each other #teenagers.
