“I knew I liked him the moment I met him” Katherine’s eyes sparkled as she described her first meeting with Jeff. Amidst the chaos of getting ready on one of the hottest days in Nashville, Katherine cooly shared several details of the first time she got to meet her future husband as her hairdresser put the finishing touches to her wedding hair. Katherine gushed, “thanks to a wonderful meeting at work, I met my future husband and everything changed!”
Katherine’s details couldn’t have been more picture-perfect. She chose accents of rose, pink and gold champagne, with teeny tiny succulents to tie into the garden setting of the farm. What made this day even more joy-filled, was the fact that both Katherine and Jeff lit up when they saw each other from the moment they shared their first look to when they kissed as husband and wife as a warm summer breeze rustled Katherine’s veil delicately.
Despite it being one of the hottest days in Nashville, this wedding was so much fun to photograph. My favorite parts included getting to eat delicious southern BBQ with homemade Korean food (did I mention that Jeff’s side of the family is from Korea and they made the most delicious food I have ever eaten at a wedding? I deemed this food as the most delicious Southern BBQ Asian Fusion in Nashville!) The white cupcakes from Publix literally melted in your mouth, which is dangerous because a Publix is a few miles from my house and I may go back to get some more cupcakes now. Finally, another favorite moment was how the florist from Whites Creek Flower Farm used tiny succulents and inserted them into Katherine’s wedding bouquet. I had never seen anything like that before, and I loved that delicate detail.
A huge thanks to Katherine and Jeff for inviting me to get to photograph their special day, it is always an honor getting to be a part of intimate weddings and getting to capture new beginnings and love stories as new families come together. I hope you all enjoy several of my favorite photos from their gorgeous day.
