Aaron and Caitlin’s Vanderbilt University maternity session might be one of my favorite sessions from last fall. Yes, 2020… I’m a little bit behind, I know! But, I’m still really excited to be sharing this session with you today! I helped second shoot for their wedding in 2018 while I was actually pregnant with Blaise. So seeing them again was just AMAZING. Aaron and Caitlin are truly joyful and fun people. So it’s no surprise this Nashville maternity session was also full of a lot of laughs. Caitlin and Aaron have now welcomed their son to the world, and I’m honored I was able to capture this session for them before his arrival!
In fact, the number 1 thing I remember about their wedding day was just how goofy Aaron was. He was making everyone laugh during his special day. And honestly? It was the same during their maternity portraits. He has this way of just making Caitlin glow and beam. It was SO special to watch, and even more special to document. I know they’re both going to be amazing parents.
Their session was held at Vanderbilt University. And if you’ve never been on their campus, you’re missing out! There’s so much gorgeous architecture and we lucked out with some truly beautiful fall foliage because of the time of year we were there. Our session focused on the Scarritt Bennett side – and we had some great spots to pick from. The archway we started at was definitely a favorite. It just looks so elegant! And Caitlin looked stunning everywhere we went. She picked the perfect pop of blue for the time of year!
Caitlin and Aaron, congratulations again! I hope you enjoy this little throwback to your Vanderbilt University maternity session. Snuggle that sweet boy of yours for me!
