Here are a few of my favorite black and white film scans from The FindLab which I took in Phoenix, Arizona of a modern Asian wedding. As I continue to grow my photography business, I am pushing myself to learn more in shooting film pictures (and not just digital pictures). One of my goals for 2020 is to incorporate more film with my digital packages. My desire is for couples to receive timeless, radiant and joyful images that they can pass down to their children as an heirloom gift. This reason comes because one of my most favorite memories as a child included opening up boxes of old photographs and just sorting through old memories of generations from my past (I grew up in both India and America, so I had photos of two different cultures to look through). I want this for my own family, and I also want this for my couples and their families as well. I cannot wait for Blaise (my son) to sit down and look through all of my and my husband’s wedding photos (which we have printed off in an album for Blaise to look through when he gets older). I’m curious to find out which photos will be his favorites and which ones he will love looking at over and over again.
For those of you who have not yet printed off your wedding portraits, please do. Even though we live in an age where everything is super convenient and accessible digitally for you to view via a screen, there is just something sweet about holding a photo of loved ones physically in your hands, it beats any screen time and digital view by 1,000,000%! (Okay okay, that’s my opinion!)
With the holidays just around the corner, why not print off a few of your favorite images from your milestone events and have some stories attached to them for your kids to learn a little bit more about you and your spouse! I promise you, they will love learning more about your love story (or at least they will appreciate it later on down the road when they are not angsty preteens)!
As always, thank you so much for keeping up with my wedding photography adventures! I love serving you all through photography and I especially love working with couples who are joyful and excited about getting married! If you are newly engaged, value timeless photos and are looking to work with an elopement or intimate wedding photographer who would best capture and illustrate your love story with radiant portraits that would leave a legacy for your children, please feel free to reach out to me!
